What is the Presidential Scholars Program?
The Presidential Scholars program is open to Nebraska students who score between a 32-36 on the ACT or have an equivalent SAT score.
It covers undergraduate tuition, fees, books and supplies, housing and food, personal expenses and transportation, and all other costs of attendance—plus a $5,000 annual stipend.
The scholarship can be applied to any campus of the University of Nebraska System, including the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL), the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) or the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA).
Students receiving the scholarship must maintain a 3.500 cumulative GPA and complete 24 credit hours each academic year. The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of eight consecutive semesters.
Students who receive a perfect 36 ACT (or SAT 1570-1600) will automatically qualify. The program is also open through application to Nebraska high school seniors who have a 32-35 ACT (or equivalent SAT score). Self-reported scores will not be considered for program eligibility. Please submit your official ACT or SAT score to the relevant campus.

Do I Qualify?
Nebraska Resident
You must be a Nebraska resident.
High SAT or ACT Score

Full-Time Undergraduate Student
You must apply and be accepted at a University of Nebraska campus.
Eligible Cohort Member
To qualify, you must be either: a first-time freshman, a current NU student (scholarship provided for remaining years) or a Nebraska resident who wishes to transfer to NU from another college or university.
